From the St. Hubertus in Bregenzerwald around the Stangstattkopf
- Duration: approx. 2 hours
- Refreshments: before and after in the St. Hubertus
- Highlight: Enjoying the natural surroundings with each and every step
This leisurely tour during your hiking holiday in Bregenzerwald starts direct from the St. Hubertus, taking you past our own chapel and our farm, along a gravel path through the forest. Follow this path until you come to an agricultural road leading up to the Klaratsberg. Continue on this agricultural road until the junction to the left heading towards Lexenhöhe / Brosesberg / Hennenberg. When you come to the road again at the Hennenberg, bear left and head out of the valley. Now hike via the towns of Stangstatt / Fallenbach / Sieban / Stocker (bear left here at Zimmerei Rauch) and Freien, back to the St. Hubertus.
Over the Drahtsteg footbridge during a hiking holiday in Bregenzerwald
- Duration: approx. 3 ½ hours
- Refreshments: Traditional guesthouses in Egg, Großdorf and Lingenau
- Highlight: Cool down in the Subersach
This somewhat challenging tour while hiking in Egg/Großdorf starts direct from the St. Hubertus. Follow the signposts for the hiking route, heading for Freien/Stocker. At Rauch carpentry, cross the road and continue hiking uphill along the Negrelliweg into Subersachtobel. At the lowest point you cross over the Subersach. Continue now to Lingenau. At the entrance to the town, bear left and follow the signposts for the Drahtsteg, on which you once again cross the Subersach. After that, hike uphill to Großdorf / Heckisau bus stop. From here proceed via the towns of Hasen / Stocker and Freien, back to St. Hubertus.
From Egg/Schetteregg to the Winterstaude
- Duration: approx. 6 hours
- Refreshment stop: In Schetteregg and Alpe Obere Falz
- Highlight: Impressive views
The lovely hike to the Winterstaude during your hiking holiday in Bregenzerwald starts at the car park for the Schetteregg ski lifts. Here, follow the Schetteregg Vorsäß circuit up to Obere Falzalpe. Bear left there and, via a somewhat steeper route across the Bühlenalpe, come to the summit of the Winterstaude (1877m). The return route proceeds on the same section as the ascent for the first few metres. Although you do not hike back to the Bühlenalp, but along the ridge to the adjacent Bullerschkopf (1769m). From the Bullerschkopf, hike into the valley to the Isewartalpe and via the Vorsäß area in Schetteregg back to the starting point.
