The Inn was a farm house from 1678 to 1928. Our grandparents (Dorothea and Josef Meusburger) started boarding holiday guests in the year 1928. The world economic crisis in the thirties caused the Meusburgers to return to farming until the end of the second World War. In 1945, our parents Konrad and Emma Meusburger took over the farm house and modernized it for accommodating guests. The house was wired for electricity in 1946 and we had the first radio in the village. On Sunday, the local minister in his sermon called the radio a “machine of the devil” from which Satan speaks. Until 1950, the well in front of the Inn was the only water supply. Moving the water supply inside was an important improvement. |

1.) The farmhouse was transformed more and more into a guest house. In 1955, the Inn was capable of accommodating 300 overnight guests. In the seventies, the 300 year old farm house was replaced with garages and sports facilities. The farm field was once again established 200 meters away from the house. | |

| 11.) In the summer of 1998, we created the St. Hubertus Brotherhood for our regular guests. Occasionally on Mondays, the brotherhood enjoys coffee here. After the establishment of the brotherhood, there was a desire to have a place where regular guests could come and light a candle for those they met here and have passed on. In the year 2000, the chapel was built. | |
